Bush`s Chicken in Converse

Went by on Friday to grab lunch for 3 of us ,I had a coupon and when I handed it to the girl she refused to take it because it had expired 6 days ago which I did not know ,but really who cares,it was still there coupon and i drove by 4 other chicken establishments to eat there's, I would just be happy to have the business and to keep a customer happy , I left and went to cane's, so was it really worth losing a sale over ,,

Great, as always! Our FIRST CHOICE FOR CHICKEN. Personnel is great! professional, fast and thorough, suggest items. Have never seen so busy a place. Food is delicious always..Love this Bush's location the best of all the locations we've tried.

Bushes manager always gives everyone a dirty look And she’s always rude every time i go.

Bushes have some of the best chicken tenders but the white gravy it's a little bit too much cuz the biscuits it can be a little heavy what about some brown gravy maybe or even some jelly to or jam to go with the biscuits.

I go out of my way to come to this Bush's specifically. The staff is always friendly, the food is always fresh, they ALWAYS throw in extra tenders, they always have the order right, and the price is fantastic for the portion sizes. Bush's has swiftly become my go to chicken place since moving to the Waco area because of their food and excellent service standards.

I called late, about 9:30PM, told them I wanted a couple of orders of tenders, fries and gravy. Young man said OK, but we close at 10:00PM. Told him I was close and would easily make it. Sure enough, I arrived at 20 till. Tried to enter from handicap parking space, but door locked. Caught the eye of a young lady who was out in the DR area, but she refused to let me in. She said “We are closed, but the drive through is available.” I thought it would be easier on them if I picked up the order from the counter, but evidently not. So I jumped in my vehicle and drove around the building. Employee came out and I asked him for two orders of tenders with fries and gravy. He said “We are out of tenders.” I ask why I was not told that when I called. Young man said they just ran out. At this point it was just before 9:45PM. I just left, and I was back home at five till ten. I don’t believe I have any further use for Bush’s chicken

Great food timely fashion

I eat everyday for lunch at Bush's Chicken. I live the one on New Road and Bosque. The staff are great bunch of people.

They were very nice and efficient. Service was friendly and prompt.

Bush’s chicken is amazing , it has almost everything you can ask for when thinking about chicken and the service is good because they get you in and out , and the wait isn’t long at all .

This place is very very good, chicken tastes wonderful and is very tender. Service is very fast and very nice. They have free ice cream for paying customers. The serendipity salt is great. Tender Tuesday is a great deal!!! If you want good chicken don't pass this place up.

First they downsized the gravy size in a livers meal but not the price. I lived with that but now they have downsized the size of the box the livers meal comes in & everything is so crowded inside the box that the roll is too smushed to eat and again without down sizing the price, less food for the same price. Totally ridiculous, KFC here I come!!

Always fast and friendly service and the food is great!

Normally this place is pretty good service wise, but this time around was not. The server asked what I wanted. I told him, and he just looked at me waiting for me to hand him the money. He didn't tell me a total, so I asked for the total. He said "something like 3 and some change." This was for one water and one dr. Pepper. I knew that wasn't correct, but I handed him 4.50 just to be safe. He went inside, and then came back out moments later asking what I wanted because he had forgotten. Again, it was just dr. Pepper and water. Finally he got the drinks and brought my change. The price was far below what he had estimated. I just thought it was really strange how he couldn't seem to do simple math or remember a tiny order. Again, normally they are really fast and provide great service here, but this time around I was pretty disappointed.

Well where to start first off the tea I received tasted horrible like the pots haven't been cleaned properly so I had to go get a water to wash down the dry chicken but that I can deal with the thing that upset the most is when I went to get a refill the young girl at the drink station was filling a to go drink so I waited and when she was finished she looked right at me and walked off and stood by the register doing nothing a old lady who was working saw me and ran over to fill my drink. So I will never be visiting your establishment again and I am going to tell everyone I know not to deal with you. This happened at the Hewitt location and if the manager would review the security video today 1/18/19 between 11:45 and 11:50 he can see for himself.

Our family really likes Bush’s Chicken and the food is great the majority of the time, but sometimes it’s just lukewarm when we get it home. We don’t even live that far from the restaurant. I’d expect it to be warmer than that. This has happened several times with the most recent a few days ago. Don’t get me wrong, they have the best fast food fried chicken in Waco, they just slip sometimes. Everyone can’t be perfect all of the time.

I always have a good experience at Bushs Chicken and they never fail to impress me. The service is great and are always on the job. The food is usually hot and fresh and they always give extra chicken tenders.

Good chicken and gravy with good mashed potatoes

I've had Bushes Chicken before and the experience was great. However, I was VERY disappointed in the sweet tea. I dumped the sweet tea in the sink because it tasted weird. I empty the cup and there's black stuff in my sweet tea. I was VERY disappointed about this and had to make a review of it. Now that doesn't mean that I'm never coming back here again. I'll still visit there for some food but that's probably the only time that I've had my sweet tea with weird stuff in it. Hopefully the last time.

Very busy place. Be exact in what you order. Chicken is good. Rolls are good. Mashed potatoes are so so. Okra is good. Buy sweet tea by the gallon.

Went to the Bush's in Hewitt to only get ignored and passed by as if we weren't even there. This was the first time that this has happened to us and for sure will be the last!!! Will NEVER return here again to be treated so RUDELY!!!!

They're okay and I say that because some staff are nice and some keep a negative facial expression. The food is good, just hope it'll get fresher. I've only had it fresh once aside from the other many times it was just warm.

Probably the best fried chicken I've ever had. I've been coming here ever since I was a child to get some delicious tenders and that legendary "Bush's Sweet Tea". The prices are always reasonable and the drive through is always quick which is helpful if you're in a hurry. Probably the most famous restaurant on Hewitt Drive.

Just called to ask if this location was hiring. The woman who answered the phone interrupted me while I was talking and then hung up on me. I’ll make sure to rush right over to apply! I’m not impressed.
